BREAKING HER WILL I
In the Hot Takes episode of Bill Zebub’s Breaking Her Will (2009), David rips erupts like a landmine that misfires with a Three-Minute Drill made of equal parts apathy and ambiguity. Danny and Pappy come to the rescue in Plot Holes and offer some key movie moments that fell to the wayside. There are some hot subjects in Themes, including Stockholm Syndrome, misogyny and the incel-ligentisa. After thinking about it for a moment, the fellas can’t help but hope the master and slave are partners in real life. Otherwise, it’s painfully apparent that the actor who played the slave makes far too great of a commitment to her craft for this movie.
Everyone is in strong agreement when playing Who Would You Be? Danny is the supportive neighbour, Pappy is the delusional Dream Boyfriend and David is Gina for obvious reasons. Pappy lives the full Dream Boyfriend fantasy by reimagining Breaking Her Will as a movie about his heartfelt search for his former girlfriend turned slave. Thankfully, Danny and David ground the conversation back in reality while trying to make the movie better with the help of the illuminati and a shit load of LSD.
In How Did It Make You Feel?, the fellas put their feelings under the microscope. But, at the cellular level, they find that Bill Zebub’s super disturbing movie isn’t really disturbing at all. This admission leads them to question, “why do these movies feel inauthentic?” The chatter soon lightens up when Pappy gives himself a pitch-perfect director pseudonym, one that leaves his buddies speechless. During Accountability, the episode ends with an admission from the fellas and a twist ending so unpredictable it would leave M. Night. Shyamalan seeing dead people.
