THE EMPATHY TEST

After a brief introduction, the fellas reveal the results of the self-administered empathy test, created by Borat’s cousin Dr. Simon Baron-Cohen. Danny nearly ruins the surprise as David outlines how they’ll reveal their scores. The test is out of 80, and the results are shocking, causing confusion and consternation. Likely due to his disappointment in failing to score the lowest on the empathy test, David expresses serious issue with the wording of its questions. Emotions continue to run high in the wake of this controversial self-assessment, and Pappy declares he cares way more about animals than humans. Soon, more mud is slung in David’s face. In the hypothetical situation where David gets stabbed to death by a mentally disturbed individual, Danny is unsure if he will avenge David.

However, it doesn’t take long for David and Danny to find mutual ground once again, as they attack Pappy for simply loving his dog. Ironically, their accusations and ultimatums don’t sound very empathetic of Pappy’s feelings, despite the point they’re trying to make. Next, Danny eventually agrees that he most likely would avenge David by causing mortal harm to the hypothetical attacker with mental illness. Finally, Pappy chooses death when pushed to the absolute brink by his friends and their entirely apathetic questions.
